Nicole Grossbard is a 17-year-old senior at Pearl River High School in Pearl River, N.Y. She plays basketball, coaches a basketball team for fourth grade girls, and is going to attend Southern Connecticut in the fall. The only thing standing between Nicole and college basketball is recovering from surgery after a torn ACL.
Nicole turned to Kinetic PT to help train her to get back in shape. As a junior she was able to finish up all of her credits last year and is a part of an early relief program for her school, which allows her to leave school early. Three times a week after leaving school she comes to Kinetic PT and trains with her therapist Wes, to get her back on her feet and back on the court.
“Most people have surgery and go to PT once a week or once in a while but I needed to go three times a week. They have got me back on my feet and I was off crutches a week or two after my surgery. They have been really helpful,” said Nicole.
Nicole has been attending Kinetic PT since mid-September and has been there for about five and a half months now but still needs a few months to fully recover.
“It is a great facility and everyone is friendly and they make it fun because after a while it can get repetitive and boring, but it’s not, because I get to do a lot of different things and they make it fun for as many times as I have to come in. Everyone is just so nice; I like the environment of the whole place,” said Nicole.
With only a few months left to go until she is healed, she will continue to be training at Kinetic PT in Ramsey, N.J. She hopes to come back after she is healed to continue to train with them and help her get ready to play college basketball for Southern Connecticut.
